By Popular Demand the Paragon MLS for Desktop session clock was increased to a two-hour timeout.
Information Technology professionals concerned about cyber-security often advocate for short timeout times, especially for secure sites like online banking and medical accounts. While Northern Nevada Regional MLS’ long-held security conventions dictated a single-hour session for Paragon, unless refreshed, our team weighed the pros and cons of increasing the session timer in lieu of the Launchpad session timer being set at two hours.
We heard from many members like you who reported Paragon timeout issues, seemingly shorter than an hour, which were likely caused by the conflicting session timers.
Because of this oft-reported issue and taking into consideration the nature of listing input and other member use-cases for longer session time, the NNRMLS team worked with Paragon to increase the session timer to two hours.
We hope this change enhances your experience while using the Paragon MLS system!
