NNRMLS Listing Status Information

This page is intended to provide you with information about NNRMLS listing statuses. Generally, status changes must be made within two business days of occurrence and updates to a listing’s status must be entered into the MLS within two business days of the change. When a new listing is entered into MLS, the default listing status is “New.” This status will automatically change to “ACTIVE” after five days.

NOTE: The Coming Soon listing status has been suspended for 12 months starting on May 3, 2021. Click here for the FAQ.

This status was intended to be used when a Seller would like to market their listing, but was not yet ready to show the listing. Showings of Coming Soon listings were not allowed. The not-ready-to-show listing could have been entered into MLS as Coming Soon for a maximum of 21 Days. Users would enter the date that showings would begin using the Available for Showing Date field.

  • Coming Soon Authorization Form signed by Agent, Broker and Seller

  • Status had to be changed to New/Active BEFORE ANY SHOWINGS OCCUR  (Change to New by changing Available for Showing Date)

  • Changes to the Available for Showing Date required Status Change form, signed by Seller, uploaded to Associated Docs BEFORE showings could occur

Showings of Coming Soon listings were prohibited and violations were subject to an automatic fine.

The option to use the Coming Soon status was only available when the listing was first input into MLS.

When Coming Soon status listing reached “Available for Showing Date” or 21 days, whichever was shorter, Status was automatically changed to “New.”
