Policy Update
The NNRMLS Policy Manual has been updated to clarify the rules regarding the entry of contact information in the Private Remarks field. While the entry of any contact information in the Public Remarks or Extended Public Remarks fields has always been prohibited, the updated policy for Private Remarks prohibits the entry of contact information for people or organizations that do not hold NNRMLS membership.

Public Remarks vs Private Remarks
There are key differences between the Public Remarks fields and the Private Remarks field. The Public Remarks fields, which consist of Public Remarks and Extended Public Remarks, are syndicated on the web and are visible to consumers. The Private Remarks field is only visible in Paragon, and is intended for Member-to-Member communications. While no contact information of any kind is allowed in the Public Remarks fields, Member contact information is allowed in the Private Remarks field.
