(Reno, Nevada) The Northern Nevada Regional MLS hosted a special meeting on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 with Instanet’s Joe Kazzoun, VP of Business & Product Development, as guest speaker. The purpose of the meeting was to obtain actionable feedback from Members about the system, to allow Instanet to address existing issues that need attention from the product developers, and for the NNRMLS leadership and stakeholders to understand what our Members need. Present at the meeting were Members who have previously provided feedback and suggestions as well as those who have indicated intense frustration with the system.

Kazzoun acknowledged Instanet’s part in what can be termed the “not-so-smooth rollout” to NNRMLS Members late in 2014, but assured the crowd that he is dedicated to resolving the issues that remain. Of the initial 560 issues that have been addressed since the rollout, all but 12 have been resolved as of March 25, 2015. Great strides have already been made to improve the mapping and interface issues.

The meeting lasted 2 hours with most of the time spent addressing specific features of the system. It became evident that Instanet is willing to make changes as requested, but that finding consensus within the membership is challenging. Now that the system is stabilized, NNRMLS Trustees have directed staff to establish a vetting procedure through which staff will collect Member feedback on enhancement requests before directing Instanet’s development team to make the changes.
