Some of you Mac users out there have reported to us that you cannot print from Paragon’s print+ (print plus) function, and when you try you receive a black screen.
Here’s what it looks like (pretty un-exciting):
The black screen you’re seeing is a known issue and could have something to do with the Adobe Reader 10.1.3 update that was recently released, according to the Paragon tech team. They say that it is likely affecting Mac users regardless of browser.
The Paragon techs suggest you uninstall the new version and then install version 10.1.1, which you can find here: AdobeReader 10.1.1 update
After downloading that version try the print+ feature again, it should work as it used to.
Another workaround is to avoid using print+ and only use the print function, although this might be unacceptable for some users. Though the Paragon tech team reports that this update to Adobe Reader might be causing this issue to occur on all supported browsers under Mac OS 10.6 (Snow Leopard), the NNRMLS tech team was also able to recreate the error using a Macbook Pro with Mac OS 10.7.3 (Lion), while running Safari 5.1.5. Furthermore the issue seems to occur intermittently because during our testing while using our office iMac equipped with OS 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) the new Adobe Reader update worked flawlessly.
Although this issue is reported as a cross-browser issue, Mozilla, the maker of the Firefox web browser, has a pretty interesting page where you can read more on this issue: FirefoxSupportForum.
Please contact us if you are experiencing this issue so that we can document your case or if you would like assistance with your Adobe Reader program.
